2.Which photo scanning service package is right for me?
We offer two scanning packages: The Family Package and The High Resolution Package. Here is the best part: There is NO ADDITIONAL CHARGES for either package. With our Family Package photo scanning service we will scan your photos at 300dpi resolution. This is a good choice for most family photos and for small business, printing and desktop publishing purposes. With our High Resolution Package photo scanning service your photos will be scanned at 600dpi. This higher resolution will allow you to enlarge your photo up to three times its original size while still preserving the quality of the original image, but there is a tradeoff: The higher resolution images will also use up more memory on your CD, digital picture frame or computer. In summary, if you plan on enlarging your scanned images than order the 600 DPI High Resolution Package. Otherwise, the Family Package which scans at 300DPI is the industry standard as it produces a nice balance of a well preserved image without using up too much memory on your CD, digital picture frame or computer.

3.Which slide scanning service package is right for me?
As with our photo scanning service, we offer two scanning packages; The Family Package and The High Resolution Package. With our Family Package scanning service we will scan your 35mm slides at 2000dpi resolution. This is a good choice for most family photos and for small business, printing and desktop publishing purposes. With our High Resolution Package slide scanning service your 35mm slides will be scanned at 4000dpi. This higher resolution will allow you to enlarge your slide up to three times its original size while still preserving the quality of the original image, but there is a tradeoff: The higher resolution images will also use up more memory on your CD, digital picture frame or computer. In summary, if you plan on enlarging your scanned images than order the 4000 DPI High Resolution Package. Otherwise, the Family Package which scans at 2000DPI is the industry standard as it produces a nice balance of a well preserved image without using up too much memory on your CD, digital picture frame or computer.

4.How do I place my order?
It's easy to place your order with PhotoScanMan. First, gather your photos, slides and tapes and complete our online order form. Next, enter the quantity of photo or 35mm slides or tapes you would like us to scan for you and select either the Family Package (standard resolution) or High Resolution Package (at no additional charge.) Follow the instructions and be sure to include accurate shipping and billing information. Finally, place your photographs, slides and tapes in a sturdy envelope, mailer or box. Print the completed order form and enclose it with your photos and mail it to us at the address indicated on the form. We recommend using UPS or the US Postal service. If you use the United States Postal Service (regular mail) we highly recommend you add the Delivery Confirmation service so you can track your package. When we receive your order we will send you an email. When your order is complete we will return your original photo prints and/or 35mm slides along with a CD or Flash Drive (for photos & slides) or a DVD (for tapes) of your digitized images. We will email you a tracking number when your shipment leaves our facility. Feel free to contact us at any time if you have questions about your order or need help with the ordering process.

5.What if I need extra copies of the DVD or CD media?
If your computer has a CD or DVD burner, you can make as many copies as you want. Some drugstores and office supply stores like FedEx and The UPS Store can make copies for you for a fee. In addition, you can order additional copies directly from us within 30 days of your order. We charge $6.00 for each additional copy.
